Boat trips

In Sarthe, 4000 km of rivers and streams are given over to recreational water-based activities amid landscapes of great diversity where all types of sports can flourish.

Sailing in Sarthe: motor cruisers and house-boats

And if you feel like casting off, the River Sarthe has plenty going for it, with its fleet of house-boats and motor launches, for a day's cruising (or longer!) or the various other water activities ... From Sablé harbour to that of Le Mans via Ile Moulinsart or the Houssay leisure centre in Spay, Sarthe can also be discovered by canoe or paddleboard for the more adventurous.

Along the Loir

Quiet and peaceful, the Loir is well suited to canoeing and kayaking. From La Flèche nautical centre, take a trip in total safely out on the water. Enjoy a few hours, half a day or even a full day for the more energetic! Continue on to Moulin de la Bruère, which you can visit, and extend your trip to Luché-Pringé or Bazouges-sur-le-Loir. A night trip out with others is possible in July and August.

Between the scenic banks of the Sarthe, Loir or Huisne, canoeing and kayaking are ideal for getting up close to the private life of this natural environment and its heritage, at the peaceful rhythm of a solo trip, or out with family or friends.
Accessible to everyone thanks to the nautical centres and specialist clubs, this popular type of activity is now available throughout Sarthe, from La Ferté-Bernard to the east to Sablé in the west, from Saint-Léonard-des-Bois to the north to La Flèche in the south, passing through Le Mans...
